Micromax subsidiary YU Televentures has postponed the unveiling of its upcoming Yunicorn flagship smartphone. The device, which was earlier scheduled to be made official on May 19 (today), will now be announced on May 31.
Apparently, the reason behind the delay is lack of media coverage - May 19 has been chosen as "vote counting day" by the Election Commission of India (several states in the country went for elections recently), so obviously the media will be focusing there.
The specifications of this upcoming flagship smartphone isn’t out yet but we do expect them to be revealed in the coming days. However, according to us, most of the specifications of the handset will remain the same as YUTOPIA, but YUNICORN will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset. Also, as YU has broken up with Cyanogen Inc, it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (stock). Lets take a look at the complete specifications (presumed by The Techolic) of the device.
