Samsung Pay in the US now supporting loyalty, membership cards

Samsung Pay is expanding fast - both in supported territories and in features. The latest addition to the service helps you pay less - with the addition of loyalty and membership cards (US-only for now).
The feature is pretty simple - it shows a barcode on the screen and that the cashier can scan just like a regular barcode. This allows you to carry as many cards as you want - an average American family has 30 loyalty cards, which is impractical to lug around.

Nana Murugesan, VP of Strategy and Operations for Samsung Electronics America said, “Right now, shoppers have several things—credit and debit cards, membership cards, coupons, gift cards—they need to take out of their wallets and scan at the register. Samsung is simplifying the check out experience by bringing those items to your phone, representing our next step toward a world without physical wallets.”
