Pokemon Go U.S. Beta is live, sign up form available now

If you’ve been following Nintendo’s moves in the mobile industry for the last couple of years, you’ll know that Nintendo has been thinking about entering the mobile gaming industry and so far it already has two games out on the iOS and Android mobile platforms, namely Pokemon Shuffle and Miitomo.
The most anticipated mobile game for Nintendo is Pokemon Go, conceived by the same developers that created Ingress, a giant online game of capture-the-flag, to use the same geography based technology in the newest and biggest online community of Pokemon trainers in the real world.

During gameplay, Pokémon GO players will be encouraged to join one of three teams and engage in Gym battles with other teams. Once they have joined a team, players will have the ability to assign their Pokémon to empty Gyms. Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real locations in the world, and because only one Pokémon per player can be placed at a given Gym, team members will need to work together to build a strong defense. A Gym claimed by one team can be challenged by the other two teams.
The Field Test is open to those in the United States, Australia, or New Zealand and requires an Android device running 4.3 or higher or an iPhone 5 with iOS 8 or above.
